Made By The Earth

Published by Joe under Art, Business, Entertainment, Money, News, shopping

Have you ever picked up a pretty rock and had a funny feeling run through your body? It’s because rocks have energy. Some people say that stones vibrate with the same energy as the earth. That makes sense to me because they come from the earth.  All rocks have energy, but what I want talk about is what people believe in about their energy.

Some believe that precious stones bring fame, good luck, and a lot of people believe that they have healing powers. Stones with healing energy are sometimes referred to as Healing Crystals. I believed all this stuff before I found this site www.divinecrystals.com.au. This page filled me in on a lot more than I had expected. They also sell beautiful stones, check it out.

World Of Warcraft

So I have been avoiding this post because video games are not as important as real life. Money will always be the number one subject of the blogs that I post. If you are looking for a MMORPG, however, World of Warcraft is the game that I recommend.

MMORPG stands for Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game. These are games that you play on the Internet with thousands if not millions of other people. Currently there are ten million people playing World of Warcraft otherwise known as WoW. This game has my vote because it is a beautiful world, it is very extensive with many places to explore, and it has emersive gameplay. WoW is the best game I have ever played on any system. I will post blogs as I find issues that concern me or that I think need looking at in regards to this game.

In Memory of George Carlin

Published by Joe under Art, Entertainment, News

George Carlin died on June 22 of this year, 2008. He had a long and very fruitful career as a stand-up comedian. Say what you will about him, love him or hate him for the things he said; but he always made us think, he always made us question, if only for a minute, the things that we take for granted, the things we assume are true. He made us think and really look at what goes on in the world around us. This is why I think George Carlin is one of the greatest philosophers of our time, like Socrates, he asked us the questions and lets us answer them. Unlike Socrates, Carlin always let us know how he felt on the issues. Agree with him or not, he was a man that stood by what he believed.

Olympic Gold

Published by Joe under Art, Olympics 2008, sports

The Olympics are in Beijing, China this year and no matter what you think of politics, they put on an amazing show for the opening ceremonies. I did not get to see the whole thing but I did get to see most of it. I think my favorite part was when they brought out 2,008 Tai Chi masters doing forms in unison. Also, there was a bit where a large group of people carried a very beautiful woman on a platform they were holding up. Not only did this woman balance on the platform, she was dancing! That’s what I call grace.

The biggest achievement of all, in my opinion, was when they had a large number of people under multi-layered boxes that extended when they stood up. They created a visual feast for the eyes as the boxes formed waves and Chinese characters from their language. Apparently, the performers had been working eight hours days for 4 months before the ceremony. For the last few days leading up to the ceremony they worked even longer hours. The really interesting part is that they did not have a perfect performance until the ceremony itself. Talk about Olympic Gold!
